Need help with the speed sensor

Need help with the speed sensor

I replaced the speed sensor in the rear end. and it works for about 1 min. then stoped working again. Then i reset the codes and it worked for about 1 min again. Then the speedo stoped working again and the abs light came on again. what could that be. wireing, connector.

speed sensor

How much crap was on the old sensor? Have you had any problems with the rear end? Metal fragmentss and old rear end grease may create too much crap and may confuse the reading.

yeah, be sure to drain and clean out the rear. I had a ton of trash in mine when I did this reapair...oh and dont count out that you have a bad sensor even though it is new

If I remember correctly, a good rear wheel speed sensor should read right at 1800ohms across the pins.

My sensor went bad, replaced it and it was fine for about a month, and then it started acting up again. I had a broken wire by the sway bar endlink that was causing all the grief. Just one more option for it not working.

Thumbs down OK Now what.

I have changed the gear oil. checked the sensor wire. And the Brake and ABS light still com on and it mess with the transmission really bad. Is there a nother sensor that i can change?

my spedo would bearly work & abs light on but ran ok took to dealer & a gear chiped chewed up the exciter ring (runs spedo i think)7 SOME OTHER stuff $3500 DOLLARS & 30 days latter it was fixed

What do i do know....

I put another speed sensor in and traced all the wire back to the cab checked out ok.. Change the oil, changed all the fuses, AND STILL DOSENT WORK.. WHAT DO I DO KNOW????
