need help with lift pumps

need help with lift pumps
dealer installed in tank pump. had 12 psi at idle 4 at WOT too low i think
had my mechanic instal holley blue and big line kit disconected
in line and running 15 psi at idle 8 Wot sucking through in line pump i think
then he hooked up both pumps and now the gauge is pegged at 30 psi
at idle and 30 WOT
is this too much? am i hurting my vp

I'll say this is way too much. But you may have a good set up overall, just need to dump extra fuel. Buy an overflow valve at Vulcan or another supplier of Simflo; alternatively, you can get an adjustable Swagelok overflow valve or Aeromotive or another back pressure regulator. Install it downstream of the Blue, before the Big line kit. Route the overflow back to the tank via the auxiliary fitting on top of the tank. You will be all set.

P.S. 15 idle and 8 WOT psi is good by itself but I am not sure how long the Blue will last if the in-tank pump is as restrictive as people claim it to be. Sure looks like your setup is proving otherwise.
