Napa Carry's vp-44's now?
i was at the local napa store today and i asked the guy about looking for a filter cross reference because my truck was bogging bad and he looked up the injection pump not understanding me or something... and he said they have vender that can source them for 712.42 plus 400.00 core???? is this just to good to be true i was hoping someone close by had one in stock so i could see it to beleave it but whats with the big drop in price compared to anyone else i look into???

This topic has been addressed before. The pump he is talking about is not the VP44, I think it's a P-pump. Do a search and there's a thread where a Napa employee clarifies.

Not saying they are any worse than most, but I did have a few interesting probs with them. At least three I replaced under Mopar warranty (failed before the 12/12) and one I did went nine miles and seized internally.

As JBody stated, you might want to do some research on that particular pump. I've heard the "black beauty" Czech pumps have had issues.

he said there is no picture but there are 2 injection pumps available in there catalog under Dodge.

notice that one says 94-02 manual
and the other says 98-02 auto
I just called my uncle up at NAPA he's the store mgr.
he looked in the same book and called to verify. the guy on the other end said they were both mech pumps, that it was a misprint in the catalog ...BUT that they were planning on getting the vp within the next year.
