Re:Muffler
Just got this 4" system from Rip at source auto. It actually just came in this afternoon and hopefully I will get it in this weekend. A little more expensive than the summit kit but I'm not sure about the shipping cost from summit. It was around $32 for shipping from Rip. http://www.protintnw.com/sa_dodge-exh.htm

Re:Muffler
Well your turbo need some sort of back pressure to run properly anyway. Straight piping isnt always the best for performance. I used a 4" Hog Stainless exhaust (Turbo back) with a 22" 6" tip!!!!!! WOW this thing is a work of art and the muffler is polished. There is no sound deadening material in the muffler (giant resonator basically) and has baffles cut in a spiral pattern to promote good flow while adding sufficient back pressure. The sound it strong but not abrasive like a straight pipe. Local shop here in town is where i got mine at. Price was at about $550. Not bad for stainless! my 2 cents.....

Re:Muffler
Heat transfer, exhaust expansion, and exhaust velocity are sources of energy that drive the turbine wheel. As pressure is increased at the turbo outlet, there is less pressure differential across the turbine wheel, the exhaust gas expands less, and less energy is transferred to the turbine wheel.
Fuel mileage on engines that are NOT fuel injected INTO the cylinder benefit from "some" backpressure to keep raw fuel from being scavaged from the combustion chamber during valve overlap and going out with the exhaust gas.

With the amount of brush I go threw I would rip Stacks right off the truck :P

This is the main reason I can't go to stacks.

Re:Muffler
I bought a 4" dynomax from Jegs. at $70. It is a straight through type muffler and is much quiter than straight pipe, but has a very good deep tone. I like it ;D
Just dynoed at Edge with this first gen at 237 HP and 679 LB FT of torque.

Uh turbo's don't like back pressure- more back pressure slows down spool up.
Non turbo gas stuff likes some backpressure and even more if there is a O2 sensor involved
Also for mufflers, you want something that is straight threw and flows well
A good muffler for a turbo would be a dynomax race magnaum or a buller muffer - the race mag has less back pressure then a striaght pipe does
