OK I’m sick of hearing everyone complain about my truck being to loud >. So can someone tell me which muffler will give me the best performance and make it a little more quite. I have it straight piped right now. A local shop told me a Mag Flow 3" would be the way to go what do yall think.

Re:Muffler

do you still have your resonator? if so, just try adding that. I removed my muffler and left the resonator in and it sounds great but isn't as loud as my buddy's full straight pipe. the resonator makes a big difference, IMO.

Re:Muffler

I also have the Summit 4" Turbo Back System! it is SWEET! the sound is awesome & it's not too loud maybe just above stock but when you get on it it opens right up the sound is incredable! I also have the 5" Tip from Summit!

Re:Muffler

I went with a custom job from a local shop. First removed all the piping. Started with a 4 in turbo back pipe from flo-pro , the pipe stopped before the rear wheels, then put on a 4inch in flo-pro muffler with dual 3inch out(made for diesels). Then went duals over the rear wheels and 18 inch long 4inch tips out each side for a nice look. Totally looks like dual exhaust from the back. Total cost was 498.00 out the door. Took guy about 3 1/2 hours.

Sounds like big big truck but not too loud. Everyone who hears asks what is has in it.......

Re:Muffler

I don't have a muffler on my truck but there are still alot of Motorcycles out there that are loader, as well as some cars and trucks with aftermarket exhaust system!

Re:Muffler

My Summit kit worked better than i thought it would.
I layed it out on the sidewalk, looked it over then cut out the old system ;D
Less than three hours from opening the box till the trash was in the cans.
Sounds good, works well, no cuts or patches in the system.
Happy with it and it' been on for about a year

Re:Muffler

I've heard some very goo reports ob the Donaldson truck mufflers. I believe that they're for 4" systems. I could be wrong.
