Motor Bucking And Kicking Mostley At High Rpm
I need some help with my truck.its a 2001 ram.im having a problem with it just running like crap for about a year.it sometimes runs alright and sometimes runs like crap.it pukes when i floor it from a stop and realy bucks at high rpm.latley if i park it on the incline of my house pad with the motor going up hill it has a hard time starting in the morning.i ran some some dirty fuel back when all this started. it always helped when i changed the fuel filter, but now it only helps a little .last time i had a good amount of fine silt like crap in the bottom of the filter housing.it helped out alot after changing the filter and cleaning all the carp out of the housing.so i dont know if i have a lot of crap in the tank or my lift pump or injector pump is going bad.any help would be great.

That's my thread, and your bucking at high rpm sounds like my problem. Mine will buck every time at 3200 rpm and above. I do not have the fuel filter problem like you, though. I hope you find an answer. I will be following this one closely as well.

If these trucks have a in tank sock(filter) it could be plugging up, and when you shut off the truck enough junk falls away so that the truck runs ok again, maybe try a jerry can in the bed with a fuel line run to it to help eliminate the dirty tank theory, wont explain the hard starts on an incline

It is just like a huge drinking straw that replaces the stock fuel pickup in the tank. Here is a link: http://www.vulcanperformance.com/ser...2%84%A2/Detail
