Mopar fuel transfer pump repair kit PN6800385SS
Anybody run the new dodge lift pump system for our trucks? I guess they discontiued our old intank fuel pick-up system. I haven't tried it yet as I don't think this pump will feed my monster. Anybody have an idea what kinda of fuel pressure you get at the injection pump with the new system. The mopar part# is 68003865AA
The reason for me changing pump is that I picked up a tank of mud/gravel diesel when we had our last fuel shortage. Nice bonus. I know have a half a tank of mud diesel and a plugged up fuel tank pick-up screen. Dodge should just sell the parts so you can rebuild the original stuff.

My girlfriends had that in her truck and with just the comp on anything over level 3 the pressure light would come on which is set at 4 lbs.... Im assuming that that is the same pump as she has....

I have the same mopar part number 68003865aa installed in my 01 pretty much bone stock truck and alone i belive the preasur pre filter was at 9 psi and the post filter was 7 psi . Even at WOT in the stock truck I saw preasure as low as 3psi pre filter . dodge will tell you this pump flows more volume so it cools the ip prohibitting dammage there are other threads on this issue . I have installed a BD Diesel part number 1050229 in front of the previous mentioned mopar pump and currently recive a peged reading on a full sweep mechanical 15psi pre filter gauge and 14to 15 psi post filter depending upon temp of fuel with no drops at wot . As for your pluged pick up screen i have done some work with these dodges as experimental vehicles for a bio fuel trial and have on sever occations been sucsessful at cleaning the pick ups with break clean and compressed air . time consuming but the are cleanable the screen in the mopanr 68003865aa can also be cleaned if nesscesary
