miles at vp44 failure?

I am just curious, how many miles did you get on your VP44 injection pump before it was replaced? Mine is bad at 222333. Looking to see what can be expected from one.

Re:miles at vp44 failure?

First one was trash at 3,000
Second at 3,700
Third at 10,000
Fourth was fine when it was at 80K
this was a 98 ...early 24V 98.
01, no problem but only had about 70K on it.
04, LOL I don't expect a problem with the VP-44 since its not on this engine. :P

What's wrong with your tranny Jack? Last thing I heard, it was doing great.

85000 on mine the first failure. Haven't had any more yet, and I'm at 110k right now. We'll see how long this one lasts. My problem is transmissions.

Whats wrong with the tranny Jack I though all was well? Not trying anything just wondering what is wrong that sucks! Unless your talking about past experience like me and had bad luck with local vendors!

Re:miles at vp44 failure?

4,000 unbombed miles on my first VP44.

No codes, lift pump was and still is well within specs.

25,000 umbombed miles on the odometer on my 2nd (21,000 miles on the 2nd VP44)
and still going strong, I think.

Re:miles at vp44 failure?

Lost mine at 13,750. What a bummer! I just finished installing an HO pump on my truck. Now it feels like the box is on level one or two when it's off. Not happy about losing the pump, but I am happy with the new pump...almost like every cloud has a silver lining.
