That is crazy never heard of that before!
Front of engine would be vp area, sounds like fuel line to injection pump, but can't explain the high revving.
You put diesel in it correct?
Post codes....

thanks foe feedback sixslug I found the leak but got a diesel shower in the process. I removed the throttle cover and dawned my safety glasses. Then while leaning over the motor I started accelerating RPMs manually at the throttle housing. the Leak appeared at the 3" line running from bottom side of turbo to looks like the intercooler. Not sure if reason is bad clamp or something is impeading flow.(glad I had safety glasses on)

Ok, the injection pump & fueling stuff is on the opposite side of the engine as the turbo?
There is no fuel supply thru the turbo, it is introduced into the cylinder by the injectors. the 3 inch line you are referring to is the compressor side of the turbo, out of the intercooler and heading into the intake horn. The boots will fail and the clamps can loosen. However there should be no fuel in that line.
The loud bang could have been a boot blowing off, but you should have experienced reduced power and possibly white exhaust smoke after that......
That incident may not have produced any codes, but to check gfor them, turn the key on/off/on/off/on/off then on and look at the odometer window for codes. Have a pen and paper. When finished will show p-done 2 times.
