Mag-Hytec diff. cover
OK well I took my truck to the ***********(I knew it was leaking b4 I went down) and they told it needed to be serviced to stop the leak(besides that they charged me $40 to tell it was leaking)They continue to tell me it will cost $149 to change the fluid!!!!! I wanted to know if anyone has used the Mag-Hytec covers and how they are?? They seem to be nice with the drain plug. Also does anyone know where to get a gauge to hook up to it?? Thank you for any help.
One other thing about my trip to the dealer. My reverse switch was bad on my 6spd. They wanted $189 to fix it, the part was $62. I put the part on in my driveway at night in 10 minutes...

I've got Mag-Hytec covers on both diffs and I have the double deep tranny pan! Great stuff! I would recommend them to anyone! They have great customer service as well!
Drain plug makes changing fluid a snap and it has a rubber o-ring in there so you don't have to deal w/ gasket maker. It's also got a magnetic dipstick and is pre-drilled/tapped for a temp sensor. You could probably use any gauge out there to monitor it if you desire.
Hope this helps some...

I have the Mag Hytek DD trans pan and rear diff cover. Very well made however....if you get one, take the drain plugs out and lube the oring with oil and put anti-sieze on the threads and you will save yourself ALOT of misery when it comes time to change fluids
I broke one 1/4" allen socket and corkscrewed another trying to get the plug out of my trans pan. Emailed HyTek and they said they would ship me another plug for $10.00 because I would have to drill a hole in the existing plug and tap it out with a drift punch
B...S... I left it in and dropped the pan...so much for the convienience of a drain plug!!

Diff covers and Tranny pans
brianflynhigh,
Tried to send you a PM but your mail box isn't operating or wasn't set up etc.

Take a look at this link and see what you think, we have been selling these for a long time with the same temp reduction results as other pans at a much better cost, plus they aren't powder coated, while powder coating looks great it is a VERY good insulator, you're buying for temp reductions as much as any other reasons so get something that will drop the temps as much as possible when you can.
