Losing antifreeze outta the side of the block!!

ok wow, i been havin issues here and there with my truck, but now i think i have a bigger one. my truck got hot this mornin and ya, we checked it now after we filled it with antifreeze and its leakin outta the side underneath the manifold. looks like it might be a seal or somethin as its at a spot where its bolted together. wat are you guys thoughts and how hard is this stuff to fix... thanks

Sounds like one of your freeze plugs might
have blown. Did you pull dip stick to make
sure no antifreeze in oil.

Sounds possibly like the infamous cracked 53 block issue. Read about it and see if it matches your issue. You can find the 53 on the block just above the oil pan - sometimes on both sides. It's about an inch tall.

If its where its bolted together, maybe it is a blown head gasket.

If it is where the engine bolts together, sounds like a headgasket. If it is a cracked block, pm me. I have a 01 shortblock casting #56 sitting here.

When my block cracked, I poured "Dyke" in it & drove it around for 3 months. That stuff will seal up anything.

Cummins replaced my engine when my 53 cracked. I had 140k miles on it when they replaced it. I had to pay $1700. labor, but they ate the bearings, rings, gaskets.
