i just put my raptor 100 on bout 2 weeks ago and so far really like it. the pump seems like its built well and i mean you cant beat a lifetime warranty. and now i am gettin plenty of fp

installation was a bit difficult but that was mainly due to little room to work with. one spot i had trouble with was at the fuel tank. what i did was remove that plastic inner fender piece (back where the tank is) and then i could some what reach the tank.

I'm running a fass95 lift pump. It works really well at very cold temps whereas I've heard of issues with others when it gets cold.

I just did a 100 on my 2001. Check all your fittings, I had some odd ***** and had to call them for the correct ones. I didn't like the way they wanted you to mount it either. I cut up their brackets for a smaller, tidier mount and had to make one of my fuel fittings because theirs are huge. I also shortened their wiring harness, it was way to long and I didn't care to bundle it up under the hood. Getting to the fitting on the top of the tank is a real pain. but can be done with the bed and tank in place.

If you are goint to order one, I can send you pictures and more details.

The end result is it works.

I have found a dealer that will sell me an Air Dog, shipped for $539. I just had my VP 44 replaced under warranty, truck has 70K miles on it (2002). I am going to go with the Air Dog setup, I want this VP44 to last a lot longer than this one did.

LIft pump confusion

I have read all about lift pumps and now I am confused.
I just replaced the pump on my 01 3500, ( on the side of hwy 101 at midnight with a 40ft 5th wheel and the family attached!) and I don't want to go through that again. The replacement pump was quite different than the one that failed. We had to fabricate the fittings. What should I do to make sure I am covered? Is ther a pump in the tank?
Looks like some of you guys have some elaborate set ups. I did order a low pressure light to be installed this W.E. I do plan to ad the edge with the attitude in the near future so that my towing is better.
