I've got 15 at idle
13-14 @ 2000 rpm cruise
11-12 @ WOT
I think the Wildcat fuel line upgrade really helps my pressures stay up. ;D I used to drop down to around 10psi @ WOT when towing the 5er up long grades in the mountains, even after the new lift pump was put in.
Not a problem now! ;D

My guess is one of two things--Either you have a fuel filter plugging or a lift pump going to the trash.
I don't think you want it to go below 8 under load and rpm.
This pressure feeds fuel to the injection pump to lube it. A lot of injection pumps die with 0 pressure.
What year you got? 01 and 02 pumps are said to be better than earlier ones.
