My Walbro just flaked out (armature brushes) after 3 years.
I can replace several Walbro pumps @ $94 each before dropping $400 - $500 for a replacement 'system'.

I am running my Walbro at 8.5 volts (I installed a 2 ohm resistor in series) and it draws less than 3 amps at this reduced voltage. I hope to triple its life running it this way. It has an easy life at the reduced voltage and current. It has been running this way for a couple of years. So far, so good.

At full voltage, the pump exerts itself pumping all that fuel, most of which is bypassed anyway and goes straight back into the tank.

Also, with the reduced current, I can let the ECM drive the Walbro directly, without having to use a relay. And I get the benefit of PWM of LP current at startup.

I have the Airdog 150 and i could not be happier with it. Well worth the money its been on over 3 years and its never dipped below 17 psi at WOT and its at 21 at an idle. its a really awesome product well worth the money

Sounds like similar PSI (15-16?)

Similar cost?

Warranty?

Couldnt be much worse than the Carter.

My carters have rarely moved off of 15-16 psi as long as they were operating correctly - regardless of idle vs wot.

I'm always astounded when I run across someone with one of these 2nd gens without a fuel pressure gauge installed. I'm certain I'd be on my 2nd or 3rd injector pump if not for this $30 gauge setup.

what kind of fuel pressure guage set up are you running?
