If it is leaking out of the shaft where the handle is you can try tighting up the packing. There might be a nut on the valve body where the handle shaft goes into the valve. Tighten that down, the leak should stop and usualy the handle is harder to turn. Not all valves have a packing adjustement so you might be SOL.

I am putting one in myself, and I fully expect it to leak eventually. I would guess that they use a cheap rubber ring on the shaft since all they are intended to hold is water. I think fuel will eat the rubber and the valve will leak along the shaft. The cure might be a Viton o-ring (I plan to take mine apart, measure and take photos to get o-ring size) or a nice quality valve. I may score a Swagelock valve at work if one comes across contaminated (we use some ultra high purity systems, and sometimes a valve gets flagged to go out of service). Swagelock valves are over $100 apiece, so I think a replacement o-ring for a $6 brass valve is a better option...

Yep tried tightening tried trightening it down but still leaked. Im thinking it just a poorly manufactured needle valve. (Especailly after 3 of them from the same place.) Ill have to try a different place. These are hard to find out in this country. Probley have to make a trip out to the city to find one.

I bought mine from Ace Hardware, it is a piercing valve kit for tapping an ice maker tube into a water line. Looks like a poj but priced accordingly.

Hey, just curious as to why you chose to put a bleeder valve on there.

Thumbs up

I thought it would be good for bleeding air off the fuel filter after a filter change but it doesn't address the air bubble from the bottom of the feed hole in the middle tube (inside the filter housing) to the top of the screw on lid so it's just getting a free ride until I remove it. Maybe if there's some way to tap it into the lid...

Your valve is going to leak eventually...the o-ring in it will not hold up to diesel fuel.
