For a stock pump you should be seeing 15.0 at idle and about 11.0 - 12.0 at WOT...
According to the Dodge serive manual I've got the the lowest pressure you should have is 10.0 PSI...
You might think about adding a Vulcan big line kit... It will help the pressure a bunch... I'm currently seeing 15.0 @ idle and 13.0 @ WOT...

drops below 3 psi? you mean drops from 12 to 8 psi? or just plain old drops below 3 psi? cause like i said i put in a new pump and filter and it now idles around 12 psi and when i really step on it it will drop to 8 psi? normal for a stock pump and filter or if not what else could be causing it? i checked for codes and i have none!

Stock banjo bolts and fuel lines...
The blue hose is 1/2" ID and the stock steel fuel lines are 6mm ID... It's easy to see there is more flow and less restriction of the fuel with larger lines... So basically you get less fuel pressure loss at high loads/RPM's...

You won't get codes with those pressures. What you are seeing is exactly what my truck was doing until I got the Vulcan big line kit and moved the pump to the frams near the tank. It makes a difference, you'll see it right away on your guage.

That pressure aint too bad,you change your fuel filter?
I got a pusher pump from napa online,Par# P4602RV 129.00
going to need some 3/8 fuel line, and a relay to wire the pump correctly.
