Introduction and Thanks
Just bought my 1999 2500 4x4. It is automatic with 124k miles. Added some new rubber than began to read and read and read this forum. Saw some things I want after I recover from the purchase, an Adrenaline pulse,a good lift pump to start I thought. Then I read about adding a fuel guage right out the bat and why. And I thought my luck the lift pump (a stock unit) is bad or going since it looks original. So I go into the garage and find a guage to screw into the filter and it won't fire up So I try the easy 3 key thing no go, I loosen and injector, bleed it out and it fires up. But wait no pressure at idle yep just what i thought my luck would be. Didn't have the cash or the time to be down till a online one came in so I bought a carter. I know not good but got it runnin at 13lbs pressure at idle. I hope the guy that traded it in to the dealer didn't drive it that way for too long and it does run good no flat spots no smoke so we will see. Anyway I am glad I read this forum right away and added a guage and knew what to do right out the gate. THANKS to everyone who posted before me. Other cars and toys I have are I collect Kawasaki motorcycles KZ900,Ninja 900,900 Eliminator. I have a 1996 Black vet convert and a 1970 Roadrunner 440 sixpack . So great place here for me to learn some cummins stuff.
