Input shaft
I have my transmission out of the truck. I plan to replace the reverse light switch as a precaution while I have easy access. I am putting in another stock clutch (250k miles). The trick runs just over 400hp on a dyno right now. The reason it is out is I lost 3/4 gear, so while repairing this problem I want to take some preventive measures. I cannot afford the clutch I would really want right now, I know the stock clutch is risky and it's very risky to reinstall the current one with 100k on a hopped up motor. I am thinking of replacing my input shaft as well just to be safe. Any thoughts? All of this would be 650-700 vs 2000 for the ideal clutch.
