I need a new VP44 in Nebraska

Well the time has come that I need a new Injection pump. It threw a 0216 code and I get dead pedal on the road occassionally. I live in Lincoln, Nebraska and wanted to see if anyone on here knew of a place to take it to get repaired and how much I should expect to pay. I called the Dodge dealership and they quoted me $2800. I thought that was high but not sure. Any help would be much appreciated.

That is plenty expensive. I am not sure about other places. It isn't too hard to replace yourself if you can find a replacement. If I come across one I will let you know.

I'm sure there is a Bosch certified rebuild shop close by....

otherwise, you can get a rebuilt pump from Midwest Fuel Injection for about 1K and install it yourself.

While broke down in Grand Island I had real good luck with South Central Diesel in Holderage, they did real good rebuild work on injector pump though the work I had done was on a 93 12 valve. They were quick and reasonable.

More then likely I would want a shop to install it for me because I don't have the proper tools to install one. Also not that confident in myself doing it correctly.
