Talking HTS transmission

Well I had dusty build a tranny for my truck, WOW what a difference I would recommend HTS to anyone great customer service and he does not try to oversell you on stuff you don't need I am 100% satisfied with HTS, and it is Dusty the owner that does the work not someone who is just their to collect a paycheck.

I got it put in today and I have a different truck now. The shifts are firm and quick but I do have some ??'s. It feels like it hits 2nd @ 15mph and then shifts again @23mph and then the normal 35mph 3rd and 50 4th. What am I feeling in that 15-23mph range? It feels like 2 firm shifts but I know it's not. I was so excited to finally drive my truck and when I fired it up my LP was dead so I had to limp it home (5 miles) on 2 psi and just now got to put it through it's paces. I replaced the Carter LP with another one and it looked good at first (14psi) but now after 2 hrs it's down to 12 at idle. Just when you think your luck's turning around.

That's exactly what it's doing. What you feel @ 15 is the 1-2 shift, the 2-3 @ 23 and then torque converter lockup @ 35. The last shift @ 50 is into 4th (OD). Sounds pretty normal.

Russ beat me to it... You are feeling the torque converter lock up in 3rd gear. Feels like an extra gear shift. My truck currently really takes off once the converter locks. It is all the slipping and sliding in-between that is killing my trans. Sounds like HTS is the way to go so far....
Leonard, did you have one of the local guys build your trans or did you get it direct from HTS. There are two HTS retailers in MD. One in Westminster, and one in Mechanicsville.

I'd call Dusty directly and have him ship it to you and then you pay an installer, that's what I did. $3750 to the door with a douple deep pan (ultimate duty) and no core charge and then $300 to install and put a seal kit in transfer case.
