Depends.<br>What clutch? A Southbend, which is the best, IMO, runs about 800 dollars, installation can vary. I was quoted labor rates from 650 dollars down to 350 dollars. Shop around.<br><br>

Re:How much would it cost?

I am having that dilemma at this time. Do it myself or have it installed by who I buy it from. From people who have done these installs, what tips do you have to offer? Thanks Phil

Re:How much would it cost?

The install isn't too bad, just make sure you've got a good tranny jack that will support the weight. Depending on what clutch you decide on, make sure there are no burrs on the disk splines. I've posted a couple of times about this but a small burr kept me out of my truck overnight :'(<br>Other than that, the install is very straight-forward. There's plenty of room to move (relatively speaking of course). The crossmember has been known to cause a few headaches, if you hit up and toward the rear of the truck it will come loose without a problem though. There have been a few clutch install threads in the last month, try a search about it for further info. Good luck, andy

Talk to , I believe it's Paul at SBC, He will give you all the info you need. Then contact Rip at Source Automotive, 503-654-9004 for best price if you do it yourself. He's saved me alot of bucks!! Daryl
