How to make a boost tester

I have a small leak that I can hear and see on my gauge. The truck was wrecked about three months ago and they replaced the whole fron end and an intercooler boot that was torn. I have an air compressor at work and variious fittings. does anyone have a good easy way? Thank you all for your replies.

It's pretty easy to make. Here's a site I found that looks pretty close to what I made. http://www.boostcreeps.com/phpBB/boostleaktester.php

Just get a big ol pvc cap(whatever size your air intake is) cant remember the size off hand. Put a air fitting in the middle and tada! Boost leak checker finder dohicky(technical term) I'd really suggest using a little pressure regulator so you don't blow something off. 90-150psi would probably hurt. Turn it up slowly, use soap & water if needed and have fun. I found various small leaks here and there. Also a cool way to check your wastegate.

Construction gone . Holy cow!! I've been here 5 years so far. They've made it worse. You couldn't get anywhere today. I don't understand how people can wreck on a bright a sunny day. Oh well, what are you going to do

Did you check your D/S lower boot? Mine had a seven inch gash in it, just about to blow. Why didn't they fix that? Check for a leak at the gauge too, most people forget that one.
