high country is right...

if it's a 6 speed (from the factory) it's got the HO motor, rear disc brakes and Dana 80 rear...

If you were also wanting to know the gear ratio, look at the sticker on the inside of the glove box door. It should tell you if it is a limited slip (anti-spin) as well.

if you have a good relationship with you local dealer you can go and ask the service dept to print you out a spec sheet for all the options and codes for your truck via the serial number.

Yup. Should be free... and it's what Dodge calls a "Build Sheet". Just need your VIN #.

If your doing around 1800rpm at 70mph in 6th then you have a 3.54. If your doing over 2000rpm in 6th gear then you have 4.10's.

BB - FYI, Think you will find that's Auto's only. Was surprised at difference between OD and 5th (on DD's 5 speed).
Have been told 5th gear on a 5 spd and 6th on a 6 spd are the same gear. On the 5 sp...70 mph = 2000 rpm's! And that was with 315's on 10" wheels!

If tires are close to stock size:

3.54 - 70 MPH = 2000 RPM

4.10 - 70 MPH = 2350 RPM
