Holley Pump Users Chime In Please...
I installed my holley blue pump about 2 months ago now. I first got it running and the pump sounded loud when first started but a normal sounding loud. And this weekend it got louder with a different tone. Like a metal sounding tone. It's weird and i can get audio if needed. But did any other holley users have problems with there pump's sound changing after a while?

I have been running the holley blue pump as a stand alone pump for about a year or slightly longer right now. I see around 14psi at idle, can pull down to about 10-11 @ wot. Have had no issues with pump at all. Took care of noises pump made by inserting a piece of rubber between the mounting bracket of the pump and framerail. I only hear mine when the pump cycles once the beast is fired up the rattle hides the sound of the pump. Mine's located about 2 feet in front of the tank.

I have it running as a standalone pump and it is mounted on the frame rail about 2 feet in front of the tank. The noise it's making is just louder than normal. I will get some video of it tonight and post up. I hope this fairly new pump is not going out already.

I made it home tonight from a little drive and the truck run's just fine but i don't hear the pump kicking on at all. Even bumping the ignition i don't hear it taking off and priming.
Has anyone ever warrantied one of these or do i have to just purchase another?

I've had a Holley blue as a stand alone pusher for about 10,000 miles. 14 psi and not below 11.5. I think the biggest improvement to the system is getting rid of the banjos. I took off the filter housing and tapped the threads to 1/4 npt. Then used 3/8" barbs and 3/8" fuel line from the pump (on frame near tank) to the filter housing then to the IP. I left the banjo on at the IP but drilled out the holes to 3/16". Now when I change filters, I bump the starter 3 times and the truck fires right up. Never had that before. Always had to fight to get it started. Even when I had two pumps and 25 psi.
I even see a difference every time I start the truck. When I turn the key on and wait to start, I hear the pump for a second and see about 6psi for a moment. When it fires up - 14psi steady.
How long will it last? I'll find out, but I've never been happier

Not to threadjack, but can anybody post a pic of their holley set-up? About 10,000 miles ago my VP went out, had the dealer change it under warrrenty, they said my lift pump was fine(but I knew it was bad) but I said okay and I was thankful I didnt get the in-tank pump. Went home and instantly bought a vulcan big line kit all the way to the VP inlet, also bought a campaign pump for 59.00 from the local cummins dealer, here I am 10000 miles later and my carter took a dirt nap. Went and bought another cummins pump for 59.00, now I know these pumps are junk, but im just not ready to drop the green on a FASS II, which is eventually what I want. Thus interested in the holley if it will last longer then 10k I be in good shape!

That might be a place where you can find pictures of the holley setup. If not just search in google and that's where i found one last night.
