HO injectors vs SO injectors
Would it be worth the trouble to change the stock injectors on a 2001 5sp truck and replace them with a set of 2001 6sp HO injectors? I'm not sure if there's a difference in the two. Thanks!

My memory is rusty, and I don't remember the units, but the SO injectors flow 640 units, and the HOs flow 600, IIRC.
Yes, the HO sticks are smaller. Expect maybe 5-8hp increase swapping in the SO injectors into an HO.
Hardly worth it, I'd say.

I have heard the main difference between the HO and SO was in the inj. pump. It provides higher pressure in the HO to improve the performance. So the injectors won't make much difference. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Additionally, I believe there were small differences in the HO engine to increase performance too. Different pistons, I believe, and possibly a different camshaft.

The HO pump is mostly the same. It has smaller plungers and runs a slightly higher pressure.
Compared to an SO, an HO has a longer, more drawn out injection event, using higher pressure through smaller injectors. It also operates with less reserve capacity (i.e., the HO vp is using more of what it has available).
The only difference with the pistons is a higher compression ratio on the HOs.
Cam is the same, AFAIK. Just installed with a little less advance-- or so I've heard.
