215,000kms on original LP and IP [guitar] hopefully i didnt just jinxed it [duhhh] Get a fuel pressure guage.

Wow! I have heard so many bad things about the lift pumps that I guess I am surprised to see some of these numbers... Over 200K! 383K! Maybe I will get lucky too...

My truck died while backing out of the driveway at 149,000. I TOWED it back into the driveway and troubleshot down to the IP. Replaced with OEM Carter due to budget constraints. Thankfully my Vp didn't have time to kill itself. Bottom line,

if your diesel stops unexpectantly, find out why! I also had a bad Vp check valve which showed it's ugly self shortly thereafter. All total cost me about $110.00 to fix instead of $1000 or more...
