Highest miles on original lift pump?
#4
Our 2002 work/field truck, 235K; no cummins problems, just that auto tranny. No fuel pressure gauge, but our mechanic says he is going to look at the lift pump since the fuel filter housing isnt filling like it used to.

My lift pump was still going strong at 128,000 when my IP died. The dealer who replaced the IP and would only warranty it if I had the LP replaced at the same time. So far, the new intank pump has been fine.

My stocker died at 88K, I replaced it with another stocker under warranty and that one made it until 159K when I put on the FASS. I'm pretty sure the second one was on its way out because I lost my VP 10K miles after putting the TST on. I don't even think about either pump failing anymore. I have a solid 15psi at all times and check the incoming fuel temperature with the DRB a few times in the summer.

Did it before it failed
I replaced mine at 150K before the pump actually failed. I tested the pressure at the IP and saw 7psi at idle. I replaced it immediately before it completely went out (taking the IP with it).
