Question High Idle

I have a 2002 3500 with 270,000 mi and after running for awhile in cold weather my idle speed will stay stuck at 1000 rpm's. If I shut the truck down and restart the idle will reset to normal but then jump back to 1000 rpm's after going back up to speed. Anyone else had this problem or any ideas

its normal, at least for the 3rd gens i know. When the temps get to a certain temp the truck automatically goes into high idle. a very great option i must add... nothing to worry about... also for future refrence try posting in the 2nd gen forums for any questions about your truck
