Here we go again...APPS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK...I am into this problem $600 bucks, 2 new Optimas and a new APPS and I am still getting the CEL and thowing the P-1023 code
***????
Where do I look now? the miss is really intermittent, disconnected the batteries overnight and re calibrated the APPS, on Friday I drove the truck over to Sonora from Arnold and back and it never hesitated once?? but the code and CEL are still there?
Drove it all day on Saturday...no codes or CEL, stopped to get coffee on the way home this morning and switched my selector to defrost, CEL came on and have the P-0123 code again??
I also no longer have cruise control, no light on the dash..nothin!
The truck did not hesitate or miss once on my 160 mile trip home today but I still have the CEL and P-0123 & P-1693 codes??
I can't begin to describe how frustrated this thing is making me!

Well,
Also there is a discussion about a wire back to the ECU that has a connection problem for the apps sensor. Can't remember....
One of the guru's knows about this like Phox...
just my 2 cents..

I know there have been many others who have had this problem but in my search I have found no recuring problems after the APPS has been replaced!
Need some help from those of you in the know!
Thanks
Dave

Opps... Now I remeber what it was... It the T/C lock up problem that had a problem related to the APPS sensor on automatic trannys...
Sorry guys... My mistake here...
But I would double check all wiring and check all grounds under the hood... Without good ground in will create some strange things to happen!
Forgive this fool...
