im gonna guess that its the apps sensor. 0500 is for the speed sensor 1693 is only a general code need a scanner to figure out what codes are really stored. try settin your cruise on the slowest speed possible then speed up usin the cruise controls. Recently a buddys truck was cuttin out usin his foot but ran fine on cruise, ended up bein the apps. Rediculously expensive little part.
give it a try,
good luck

apps sensor was replaced 2 months ago and fuel pressure stays consistent and never drops below 10 psi. I am out over the road and am fixing to leave this weekend for another week. Its almost like something is sticking from sitting. Truck has sit for about a month and is only drove when i make it home. Last week it had a slight stumble between 1000 and 1200 rpm. Has anyone seen injectors go bad?

ok been out of town but got a chance to surf through all the threads truck seems to run great cold but after a 50 mile drive she starts to act up. Another user posted about his truck doing the same thing and he replaced the ect sensor and it cured it. I'm keeping fingers crossed and gonna try it. I'll let everyone know how it turns out

Well figured it out turns out i just had a bad tank of diesel. After I replaced the speed sensor on the tranny i reset the ecm and drove it. I still had a minor "miss". Went and bought a fresh tank of diesel and put diesel treat it and drove it about a 100 miles and now she drives like new.
