(HELP)No Reverse drives in all gears but park

ok i jumped in the truck today and i was driving down the road stopped off and put the emergency brake on... well we were going to head down to someones house so i jumped in the truck and put it in drive and punched it and forgot about the emergency break... I start to go nowhere before i relize what happen and i let it off to take emergency break off...Then i press peddle again and the truck goes really slow in drive so i pull off the side of the road and put it in 1st and take off to see if it shifting or whatnot.. no first it starts in second shift lever to second it shifted into 3rd and then overdrive got the truck all the way to 70mph.. then i pull off and park.. go to put in reverse....NO REVERSE just does a harsh jump into a forward gear... then i put in nuetral to back the truck up and the truck stays in forward gear.. the truck is stuck in either park or forward gears... HELP>.. i checked codes have a P1757 code....

i have good fluid that was one of the first things i looked at....we hooked someone up to the truck and slid the truck a little sideways so i could clear the way to drive off. I drove the truck home 48 miles and it drove ok i just had to put the truck into 2nd gear to get going then into drive for 3rd and overdrive....it seems like 3rd is just stuck in 3rd gear or what not... I have no first gear still and the tranny smelt a little but the fluid wasnt hot when i touched it....I just had this tranny built...and there no more warranty on it..

anytime I've experienced movement in N, some welding has taken place inside the trans.

Dave Goerend Saves the DAY!!!!!
even though the transmission is out of his warrantly by 13k miles and 7 months i called him up for help.. We hook up a preassure line to the tranny and then found that the preassure was fine so the system hydraulicly was working correctly but mechanicly m,essed up.. SO we went through some steps and and test out the tranny and inspected it.. The Forward Drive Plates and 2 clutchs and 2 steeles where welded together slam shut. Being as nice of a guy dave was he said he will send me a DVD he made by himself of rebuilding the transmission and how to fix common problems for free that he sells then he going to send me all new clutchs, steeles, tub of tranny grease for putting back together, and new sensors and filter for the valve body just incase some of the peaces of metal got into the sensors and filter....Wow this guy is amazing and has once again helped me out and is not charging me a thing for all the parts he sending me just because its a tranny built by him.

PS when i had my ATS tranny a while back and called in from it going to crap on me they just told me to basicly go screw myself because of all the performance addons i had on the truck....so shows to me Dave really cares about his customers and he knows off all the stuff done to this truck because i share it with him and send him the drag strip footage

I've heard great things of Dave Goerend, and this post really just sealed the deal for me. Within the next few months, I am looking to purchase an upgraded valvebody for my 47re. Dave will have my business for sure! Does he have a website, so I "fantasy shop" for a few weeks, while I sew the holes in the bottom of my pockets shut?

Another Dave Goerend story to add to his reputation.

I don't think we can post links, but if you'll Google "Goerend Bros", you'll find a link to his website.

All of the trannys that I build have Dave guts in them, he is the absolute best guy to deal with. He has helped me out when someone brought me a truck with a problem from "one of the other guys" - he gained nothing from helping us out, we bought no parts this time, but Dave has earned my respect and loyalty.

www.gbtransmissions.com this is his website. Give him a call.
