HELP...chip malfunction possible screwed up pump 01 Cummins

I have a quadzilla box that is simillar to the edge comp box with the controls for it on the front of the box that is mounted in the cab with a red display showing what setting you are on. This morning the box started acting up, the truck threw a check engine light and basically shut down while I was driving about 70. The engine was still on just no response from the throttle. I looked at my box and the display was all jacked up so I unplugged it from the back of the box and the truck became repsonsive again. I was wondering if this could have messed up my pump or anthing else. I haven't pulled the code just yet on the light, but I plan on it so see what it is. Also the truck is acting sluggish now, could this be something messed up with the pump, or could it be that I have been use to the chip for so long, stock just seems sluggish. Any help would be great guys, thanks.

Doubt it did damage. Stock most likely seems sluggish, I know it always does to me!

well that makes me feel a lot better, it threw a code of 1693 which just shows that there is a DTC in the PCM. i'm still hoping its nothing bad when i can get a code reader.

Boxes cause all sorts of funny things to happen when they go bad or have issues. Gotta remember they're plugged into the data link, map, wire tap, etc...

You don't need a code reader for your 2001. Just turn the ignition switch on and off twice and back on without trying to start it. Watch the odometer for codes.

i did that and it gave me code P1693 which after i talked to a friend at the dodge house, they told me all that code is for is to show that there is a DTC in the PCM but does not shoe the exact code that is the problem. and that is the only code that shows up, i'm thinking that its probably not something too bad, just something i have to clear out. i was more worried about my truck being sluggish but i guess i was just use to the chip being on there for so long and wasn't use to an ol' stocker. does anyone know what kind of box or programmer i could go with (that won't charge me an arm and a leg haha)
