help?!!

Hi all!!!! Ok i have a 99 dodge 3500 4x4 duelly and have the edge comp module installed along w/ gauges. I recently installed the new in-tank lift pump and noticed since I installed the module when i floor it the fuel pressue will drop to 3 psi and below! I was wondering if i could get the old style lift pump from NAPA and double them up. I wasn't sure if this high of pressure would hurt the vp.

I don't have an answer for you, but if you post this in the 2nd Gen section you'll most likely get a quicker answer. Good luck!

I am not too up to date on these models but I KNOW that low pressure is not good. You might ought to consider a Glacier or FASS pump. Someone else will chime in soon.

Most people mount it on the chassis rail in front of the fuel tank.

I merged these multiple threads together and placed them where I thought you would get the best responses.

Here ya go.... If you do either pumps mentioned, you will need to put you stock pick up back in the tank or do a suction tube kit.

You dont use the Stock Filter head with the FASS....BUT you do with the HPFP.

I screwed one of the test port plugs in to far and busted it. Anyway I have looked everywhere, ebay, dodge, cummins, junk yards, and on here. I cant find one for anything. I was thinking i could convert it over to the newer style but then i realized it wont bolt up. If you could give me that shops # or find me another 1 it would be greatly apreciated.

pump

My friend just bought an 01 and the vp and lift pump were junk, was still under warranty by 3 months, I work at a chrysler shop and I installed both the vp and in-tank lift pump, like you, the pressure was crap, So I got him an original lift pump as well and I removed the block that goes in place of the old lift pump and put this one on and spliced into the same wires, so now with the in-tank pump and lift pump he runs 25-27 psi idle and 17 wot, no problems yet, really east to do.
