Head gasket retorque question

Head gasket retorque question
I just finished my first head gasket R&R on my 99. I couldn't afford studs so I bought new bolts. I did the initial torque, brought the engine up to temp at idle then let it sit over night. Retorqued to 120lbs. My question is, am I now good to go? I don't want to have a broken bolt.... Or another blown head gasket. I drove it to work today (130 miles round trip) and babied it with the comp off. Thats just not fun And sorry guys I searched but everything I found was about studs not torque to yield bolts. I do still plan on studs but they're going to have to wait a few months.. Thanks in advance for any input and Happy Holidays.

I have not had to do a head gasket on one of these but if they use Torque to yield bolts the you should not have retorqued them. With TTY bolts you torque them to a set number then turn them a specified amount further. That is the yield. If you go back and retorque then you have stretched the bolt and they will need to be replaced along with another set of head gaskets. I am not looking at the manual so I do not know if they are TTY, If not then you are good to go.

They were good. I used old bolts. It was a new cummins reman head. I'm not pushing big boost #'s either, 25-28 lbs.
