'98 24 Valve Cummins' seems to start ok when the truck is cold. However, after it has been running for a while it won't start. I have already replaced the LP and it didn't make a difference. My old lift pump was at about 10PSI's but I replaced it anyways, due to other peoples similar problems. It seems like it is possibly losing prime. Also, when I did the pressure test I also hooked up a clear tube to check for air leaks downstream, yet I saw none. Frustrated, any sugestions?

Sounds like your VP may be on it's last legs, that is a common sign.

This sounds stupid but I know it works.

When the truck won't start hot like that, try pouring some cold water onto you VP, I bet it will start right up.

turbo dreams

look for tsb's. there is one on that problem. mine is a 99 and i had the same problem. i had to get the computer re-flashed. cured the problem like a charm. i found that tsb on fritz's page.
