growl/grinding noise help

it seems to come from the tranny area but its hard to say. it is loadest when i roll into it from low rpm 1200-1700. truck is in shop and they said my front drive shaft joints are worn and this can cause a vibration. but i drive in 2wd could it still be the front drive shaft cause it is turning as well. any ideas im about to put on garret turbo and quad box i dont want something really bad to happen to drive line

thanks

Driveshaft or axleshafts? Your front driveshaft should not be turning in 2wd if your CAD is working properly, i had a similar noise once, it turned out to be a loose exhaust clamp rattling, made a heck of a racket
