Good Service Dealers
> > On a hard pull today, my engine started to miss just a little. Boost pressure was down a bit, and EGT's were up a bit. Then the engine started to miss............just a bit, at full power, so I eased off on it. Is this the dreaded boost pump failure ?? If so, I've heard that my local dealer isn't too cool about Edge EZ's and the like. Can anyone refer me to a dealer in the Inland Empire region of SoCal who is easy to get along with ?? I live in Palm Springs, but wouldn't mind driving 100 miles or so, for good service, and no hassles. Lar.

Re:Good Service Dealers
Check the connections on the EZ first. I've had my truck do something similar to yours and it was a bad connection between the PM2 and the boost/map sensor. Take the connection loose and get some Dielectric grease and spray on the contacts, let it dry for a few minutes and then put them back together. If that doesn't help it could be a bad lift/transfer pump.

Good Luck
DB

I like my local dealer in Escondido, but I would remove the EZ first. I don't think they take kindly to bombing. On the other hand, between service writers and lead mechanics, I think the average time on staff is close to 20 years.
