After Market Overdrive for Economy
Does anyone that has had a U.S. Gear or Gear Vendor Overdrive installed have good numbers on the increase in fuel economy before and after installation? Also how about durability of the unit? A knowledgable person told me as the RPM's drop a diesel "hits harder" than a gas rig, causing failure of the overdrive unit or other drive train components (The US gear unit is not available for my rig)

I had a customer have one installed on his new 06 with the g56 manual. Without it he was cruising 75mph at around 2300 rpm. Gear Vendor brought that right down and he's getting better mpg. He's a happy camper.
