Need to know how to fix this problem, When I put my truck into park the indicator moves back slowly even after it is in park. Does something need to be adjusted or ???? Please help, Thank you.

Mine does the same thing. It is always off a little too.

Some times it will indicate something different than what the transmission is actually doing.

There is an adjustment under the dash. If memory serves me correct, look for a black cable by the steering column. It has a little plastic housing with a small wheel (kind of like a clock). The wheel is the adjustment for the indicator.

There is also a plastic piece that is on the transmission, where the linkage is, that wears and will alo cause the indicator to be off. It will also throw off the gear position indicator by a 1/2 position, or more.
