FYI: Part numbers Fuel Sender and intank strainer and Dealership Rant
If you have a dealer like the one I have here in town, DTR is priceless. It takes them 10-15 minutes to lookup each part.(little to no computer skills) Dealer tried to tell me that there was no difference in the intank strainer. So I told him to order it and I'll prove you wrong.......well ya, he was WRONG.
He also told me that I had to order the seal for the screw cap ring on top of tank when I plan to replace the sender assembly. I asked him if the sender came with one, he said no. Well he was wrong again. It came with one. It took some serious persuading to get him to take the 2nd seal back, since he said it was "Special Order". However, the sender and seal was only $34.XX. I thought that was cheap. Ive read on here that they are $60+. He was probably quoting me their cost, as smart as he was. THis dealership is in the stone age. They are fairly big and in a large town, and the service/body/parts depts share one computer.
SO, to save you the aggrivation I had, here are some part numbers from Mopar.
This was for my 97 in sig.
Fuel Level Sender Unit: 05013467AA It came with rubber seal for top of tank.
Strainer on bottom of fuel module: 52004938
It is red, round, with two clips, NOT the white flat square one, thats for gas.
Hope this helps someone.
