Fuel pump question

Is there also a fuel pump in the tank? I mean besides the lift pump on the engine block. U crawled under my truck the other day checking stuff out and it appears there's one in the tank but not sure and it there is could it have a filter in the tank that could clog and cause poor fuel mileage ?

There was not a fuel pump installed in the fuel tank from the factory.
The lift pump on the side of the engine is the only delivery pump.
The injector pump requires sufficient lift pump fuel pressure to advance the timing so low lift pump fuel pressure could hurt your fuel mileage as well as keep cooling and somewhat lubricating fuel from protecting your injector pump.
What's your lift pump fuel pressure?

not sure haven't had the funds to buy a guage to check and it makes me little nervous not knowing. But the trucks bone stock and had a new lift pump installed right at a year ago

Dodge did put lift pumps in the tank to remedy the failing block-mounted lift pumps. The block-mounted lift pump was then bypassed. You should have one or the other, not both...

The intank was a dealer fix, not factory.
The fuel tank module consists of the housing and fuel level gauge(electric).
If the lift pump on the side of the engine has a pair of wires connected, you don't have the intank.
