I got the Vulcan Manual Test Kit From Geno's garage. It has a seperate shut-off valve on the line. (see link)

I'd like to know the process to test, ie; what is the valve for? I know it connects to the port on the IP, but it didn't come with any instructions or tips... like:

1) connect the line (with valve closed)
2) start the engine
3) open the valve...get idle reading
4) give it full throttle... get WOT reading
5) shut off the valve
6) shut off the engine
7) disconnect line and replace cap

I'm just guessing but would like to make sure before i connect it up and screw up the gauge.

 

Followed the above steps

Idle 7.5 psi
WOT 3 psi

(past) Time for a new pump
