Fuel pressure with key on?
Just wondering if gauge should show pressure when the key is turned on but not started. After it starts, pressure quickly jumps to 15.

Good question. The fuel pump cycles for a few seconds if you have not started it in a while. If you have the pump WILL NOT run until you start the engine. The VP-44 has been know to "start hard" if the fuel pressure is high before the engine starts, so DC put a "delay" on running the FP until the engine is running.
Perfectly normal.
Congrats on installing a FP guage. 15 PSI is a good thing.

Yea, mine will hit 15psi as the pump cycles then will drop off until I start the truck. Then will idle at 15psi. The lift pump runs for about 15secs with the wait to start light/grid heaters.
