Ok so will a Autometer gauge be ok to run diesel into directley?

Where would i get that needle valve at...?

Pretty sure that Autometers are not approved for Diesel.

That being said, you should be able to find the needle valve at any plumbing supply,
or even Home Depot type store.

Phox...........Just goin thru your pics now of your ride....Looks great......I just got my PA 3" bodylift on friday and will be installing next week.....

6" should look good with 35" SSR's......

Ok back to the FP setup...........So should i use the isolator that came with the gauge?

Sounds like i should...

Yes, if using an Autometer guage, use the isolator.

ok,,,,,,,,,,Now back to my original ( original question)...LOL

Should the isolator be mounted on ther firewall or on the motor.

I thought i read somewhere it was better to mount on motor....Could be wrong though.....Does it matter?

Wanna get this done already.

I would think that mounting it to the body would help longevity, isolating it from all the engine vibrations.

I have read that sending units for electrical gauges be mounted on the motor...the theory being that vibrations were in sync that way and less likely to give false readings. For a mechanical gauge and isolator I believe firwall, etc. is fine.

Just be sure to get a diaphragm type isolator, not the cylinder/piston type. There are some longevity problems with that type.
