Fuel pressure gauge or fuel pump ?
I have a fass DDRP. The fuel gauge is a westach. It usually runs between 14-18 psi. On the way home from work , I noticed , it would drop to 0 ps1 when I applied the throttle . As soon as I let off, it shot back to 16 ish. Truck runs totally fine . Not even a hiccup. So in the driveway, idling , it would idle at 16 ish, and even if I used my finger to push the pedal, the slightest even 50 rpm push , would drop the gauge to 0 psi. And then at let off, up it goes . I re did the grounds , that didn't help. Went to tighten the positive on the sender and noticed it wouldn't tighten. Just keep spinning . Got it to snug down somewhat, put it all back and now the gauge is dead at 0 psi . Are these sending units known to fail? Mines gotta be attest 5-6 years old now. I know how important fuel pressure is, so thought I'd ask .

thought I'd add , the positive terminal was so loose , it would go up and down and side to side like it was going to pull out of the sender itself .

Before I left for work , I cracked the line leading to the VP , and ended up with a pool of diesel in the driveway , so looks like the fuel pump is good. I also pulled the fuel pump relay but when I put It back , I looked and my check engine light is on. I think I had the key on when I pulled it by accident
