fuel pressure
I just added an additive/stabilizer to my diesel fuel that is supposed to help lubricate the engine and "dry water in my fuel tank". Some of you guys talk about adding two stroke oil to the tank to lubricate your fuel system. However, My fuel pressure rose about 5psi. It was 10-12psi and now is 15-17psi. Is this a common thing that can happen when you add a fuel stabilizer to your tank or did I loosen up something and cause restriction?
I replaced my VP44 and added a FASS 150/150 300 miles ago.

I had a similar thing happen. I was getting intermitant low fuel lpressure readings and so I put some heet, the kind for diesel, into the tank and my pressure came up to 15-16-17 and has stayed there for 10000 miles. The wierd pressure readings all happened after filling up in Northern Utah at a station that will remain unnamed, so in my mind that linked the problem to the fuel. I tried draining the fuel filter several times and that helped a little, but I still had the problem up until I added the heet, then, no problema. I do not know why or how this worked, but I am glad it did.
