Fuel light just flickering?

Hi, I just installed my fuel light, and the first time I warmed it up on the highway, it started to flicker. More off than on, just occasionally winking, not even bright.

What's wierd is if I floor it, the light goes off. If I let off the throttle, the light goes off. It's just steady state throttle that makes it flicker.

So I changed the fuel filter, and the light got better, but still flickers occasionally. The pressure switch supposedly comes on at 8psi. Do you think it's safe to drive? Leaving in 3 days on a 3,000 mile trip.

Before I had gauges I had the led warning light and it start to flicker sometimes and then a little while later it started to come on more and more then just stayed on even at idle. Could be signs of a dying lp. You could check your pressures with a gauge, other then that just keep watching the light if it starts to stay on alot then it'll be time to do something about the lp.

If its flickering, I'd replace the LP with a good one and install a gauge. Hard to argue with the gauge...
