Front End Work
I just had the following replaced in the short bus. Not a bad deal, I think.
Pioner Tie Rod Ends X2 = 53.62
Moog Tie Rod End X1 = 77.00
Moog Tie Rod End X1 = 48.85
Moog Tie Rod End X1 = 93.97
Moog Tie Rod End X1 = 52.22
Moog Track Bar X1 = 193.73
Oversized Stabelizer Shock X1 = 85.38
R&R Frony End Parts? = 130.00
Alignment = 49.95
Wagner Disc Pad Set = 59.23
Labor = 179.95
All this work improved the driving of the truck at speeds of about 50mph and over. Are there other parts in the front end I should look at to get rid of the slop at at slower speeds. It seems to make a slapping noice when going over some bumps, control arms? The truck has 80k on it know. Should I be looking at replacing the shocks and the rubber gromets that that are at the top. Any suggestions on shocks? One other thing I thought of is the tires. Would tires that only hold a max of 60 psi and have poor side wall flex cause the slop at slower speeds. Any more ideas would be helpful. I also still have the issue of the output shaft seal leaking after the second replacement. Any thoughts on this would be great. Being that I often do not know what I am talking about, see the pic about the seal.
