Fluctuating Fuel Pressure on Guage

I have 2 gauges, one before the filter and one at the vp44. I have a snubber installed. Lately, sometimes when I'm driving the needle on the gauge at the vp44 starts to bounce. It usually sits at about 17psi at idle and droppeds to just under 15 under load, when it bounces it bounces from about 17psi to 25psi back and forth.

Can a snubber go out? Or could it be something else?

Thanks in advance.

Is there a chance you got an air bubble in the line before the snubber? Not sure but before I got all the air out of mine ot bounced some. Good luck

Can you tell us if the gauges are mechanical or electrical and where mounted? Could be a gauge, sender, a ground, or something else depending on gauge type.

Could also be your grid heaters cycling on and off, my FP fluctuates when they are drawing amperage.

The gauge at the filter is mechanical and is steady eddy ... the guage at the vp44 is electrical. The guage is on the dash ... the under the hood "parts" are in the area of the fusebox.

I suggest cleaning contacts for the electrical gauge - especially on the sender under the hood. I have to do that to my westach sender under the hood about every 12-18 months because it does the same thing. I use a fine sandpaper and the results are immediate.
