I seriously considered the swap and if I had not found this block I probably would have. I am not finding a lack of lifetime of the 24v and I have a fortune in 24v stuff. The injection pump is near new, ATS, EZ, FASS, recent RV275's. The engine impressed me when I tore it down and found the condition with the miles I have on the truck and the work it has done. I will plan on oil system upgrades which is a shortcoming of the Dodge, but the 12v shares this problem also with too small an oil capacity. Will be going to a larger bypass system to build on the oil volume and filtering. Were it not for the thermostat problem, the original engine would easily have made another 200,000. I expect to get 500 out of this one with probably another injection pump. The system is working well for the work it does. Two more gages have to be added, oil pressure and temp in real manual gages. Now, if I could shoehorn an 8.3 in it..... I am also anxious to see how the torque cam handles the loads.

Can we assume you're going to dyno that set up and let us know how it turned out?

Arm's fine, body ain't worth a crap Engine is in the chassis, took me seven hours to do the flywheel housing, clutch, sink it, oil pan and motormounts. Took forever to get the trans lined up and then the darn motor mounts, they never line up, finally ran a chain through the bumper, pulled it into place with a comealong. The right side always wants to be 1/2 inch back. Rubber disk gets balled up going in. Ahhh it's in.

Probably a days work left, can't do it tomorrow, have doctors appointment at Vets. That will take all day Be running this weekend though. Long as it don't rain every day.
